You will need:
- 1 1/2 lbs baby carrots
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp dark brown sugar
- 1/3 cup water
- salt and pepper, to taste
Step 1:
Place all the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Step 2:
Reduce the heat to medium, cover and simmer for about 5-8 minutes (until the carrots are crisp-tender).
Step 3:
Uncover and cook for about 5 more minutes (until the juices are reduced).
Step 4:
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
